I reckon it’s a good idea to periodically check that you are doing everything you can to create the life you want for yourself.
Most people do this once a year on new year’s eve. I find I benefit from doing as often as I remember. Probably once a day is ideal.

These last weeks I have been learning a valuable lesson : energy flows where attention goes, so put it somewhere useful. Very often I have been caught up in situations that are not satisfying and yet I have been “putting myself through it” trying to force things to work etc. The thing is, sometimes (quite often) it is a better idea to let go and let things change, re-arrange in to a new pattern that is more harmonious, pleasurable and satisfying.

Life is full of patterns. Some patterns are nice and serve us, others are not nice and do not serve us.
The interesting thing about patterns, and especially behavior patterns, is that once they are set up they just keep going by themselves. Which means that if you have a behaviour pattern that includes pain, you are going to keep getting more and more of that pain until you free yourself of that behavior pattern (vicious cycle). On the other hand, if you can set up some patterns that bring you pleasure and happiness then when they repeat themselves you will only get more and more of the same pleasurable experiences.

When setting out to achieve something in life we are often faced with limiting beliefs that we cannot get it. What these beliefs do is prevent us from taking action because we feel like there is no point in doing anything because it is not going to work anyway.
However, with understanding of the way they affect us it is possible to overcome any limiting belief and turn it into a positive belief that will serve us. This is actually pretty easy once you get a grasp on how things work.
All you have to do is start acting now as if you can and will achieve your goals.
